Cate’s charge was to create a golf course that is ferocious to the eye, yet fair to the average golfer. Five set of tees, wide landing areas, slick greens, and some fairly dramatic elevation changes set the stage for a round you’re sure to remember.

Arnold Palmer and the Palmer Course Design Company have created an 18-hole masterpiece on a spectacular mile and a half long riverfront site. “I’m really excited about Rivers Edge”, Palmer notes. “It’s a superb site…40 foot high bluffs along the Shallotte River. It will certainly be one of the best courses in the area.”

Rivers Edge was honored with a placement of 62nd in the “America’s Top 100 Public Courses” by Golf Digest – 2007.

This Myrtle Beach area golf course, Panther’s Run, is the second addition to the Ocean Ridge Plantation golf complex. Panther’s Run is designed to test golfer’s skills, but not break their game. With generous landing areas and large greens, this course is designed in the traditional style using the natural terrain of the land.

With Panther’s Run, Cate carved a beautiful golf course from the natural terrain of the land, moving little dirt. Environmentally sensitive areas have been preserved and made a part of the course.

The 18-hole layout features rolling, wooded land with rambling brooks and ponds. Water comes into play throughout the course, testing the golfer’s ability to stay out of or hit over the water.
